Please consider joining our volunteering community
Our charity relies on the amazing support from our volunteers. There are many ways to help including becoming a befriender, helping with our online community and online support groups, fundraising ambassador, helping with in-person events such as our Remembering Day
We are actively recruiting befrienders to join the Footprints team and also seeking personal stories to share on our blog page.
In particular we are searching for people in the following groups: Twin loss (both twins); Surviving twins or triplets; TFMR; Triplets & Quads; Dads & Grandparents
If you are considering befriending and want to find out more or want to share your story with us, please click on the expression of interest form using the button below, or email enquiries@footprintsbabyloss.org
“Volunteering gives me the opportunity to continue my son’s legacy and be proud of the imprint that he has had on the lives of many.”“It means so much to be able to be there for people, just as others have been there for me.”
Shimona, mum of twins Arran and Kierran
“Being a befriender means being part of a community of support. We have regular training and reflective practice sessions so we all feel more confident and inspired. Coming together means we can share our challenges and tips with each other, as well as debriefing on tough calls, which is so valuable and important for our own wellbeing.”
Sarah M, mum of twins Charlotte and Eva
“I love volunteering and particularly befriending as it is so important for people to find someone to talk to who has had a similar experience to themselves and therefore really understands.”
Sharon, mum of twins Charlie and Joshua
“Volunteering for Footprints gives me chance to keep my twins memory alive and allows me to try to provide a listening ear to someone just like someone did for me.”
Sharon, mum of twins Charlie and Joshua
