3 min readWe are delighted to announce a very special collaboration between Footprints Baby Loss Twin & Triplet Support and Transport for London (TFL) for Baby Loss Awareness Week this October.
From 9–15 October, the London Cable Car will be illuminated in pink and blue to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week and remember the babies who have died.
As bereaved parents ourselves, Suzie and I know how important it is to have opportunities to remember our babies and to raise awareness of baby loss. We are really pleased to be able to do this in such a visible way, in the heart of London.
On Wednesday 14 October, we will also be joining TFL at the London Cable Car for a free Baby Loss Awareness Week event.

The event will bring together bereaved parents, charities and organisations from across the baby loss community. There will be opportunities to remember babies, hear from people with lived experience, find out about support and connect with others.
We are really pleased that a number of organisations including Aching Arms, Ellie’s Gift, The Skye High Foundation, Black Baby Loss Awareness, The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, Willow’s Rainbow Baby Box, will be joining us on the day, helping us to showcase the support available to bereaved families and the different experiences of baby loss.
Baby Loss Awareness Week is an important time for our community. It gives bereaved parents the opportunity to remember their babies in whatever way feels right for them, while also helping to raise awareness of the impact of baby loss.
For Footprints, being able to partner with TFL on this is particularly special. Seeing the London Cable Car lit up in pink and blue will be a powerful way to raise awareness and remind people that baby loss affects many families, often in ways that continue long after the loss itself.
We hope you will join us during Baby Loss Awareness Week, whether that’s at the London Cable Car event, by remembering your own baby or by helping us to raise awareness and keep the conversation going.
The London Cable Car will be illuminated in pink and blue from 9–15 October. The free Footprints and TfL event will take place on Wednesday 14 October.
