What a special day!

On Saturday 30th May, 35 members of Team Footprints took on Snowdon in beautiful sunshine, with stunning views from start to finish.

We set off at 9am and everyone did brilliantly. The climb was challenging, with some steep sections along the way, but the determination, encouragement and team spirit throughout the day were incredible to see.

From around 12.30pm, we began arriving at the summit and spent an hour together at the top. It was a very special time as we remembered our babies. We released around 200 petals with our babies names on at the top, placed candles and a medal, and left pebbles at the summit in their memory. It was a chance to pause, reflect and feel connected to the babies who inspired every step of the journey.

Watch the petal release –

It was made even more special by the family and friends who joined us at the summit via the mountain railway. Having loved ones there to share those moments meant so much and reminded us how many people continue to hold our babies in their hearts.

After reaching the top, spirits were high as we began the descent. While many of us found the walk down harder than anticipated, everyone supported one another and we arrived back at the bottom almost entirely together. Staying as one group throughout the day, particularly at the summit, made the challenge feel even more special.

A huge thank you goes to Maximum Adventure, who guided us throughout the day and were absolutely brilliant from start to finish.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we have now raised just over £16,000 including Gift Aid. We would love to reach our target of £20,000. Every donation helps us continue supporting families affected by the loss of one or more babies from a multiple pregnancy so if you would like to support us, please consider making a donation here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/snowdon2026footprints

Thank you to everyone who climbed, donated, supported, remembered and cheered us on. It was such a fantastic day and we are already looking forward to planning next year’s fundraiser!
