Dads support

A welcome message from the dads

How We Can Help

Whatsapp Groups

We have got a small WhatsApp group specifically for our dads that you are very welcome to join if you have experienced the death of one or more of your twins or triplets.

Please get in touch to find out more. It is a safe space where you can chat to other dads, ask questions and be in a supportive group of dads that understand how you might be feeling.

Please be mindful that there are a mix of different personal experiences in the group.

Email us for more details.

Additionally, we have three dad befrienders that we can match you with.

We have a new support leaflet for dads which we hope you will find helpful.

Dad specific support

We offer Dad specific online group meetings. Please let us know if you would like more details.

“It is very comforting to feel that the group is on the same wavelength. Before I couldn’t find anyone, let alone a man, who was able to help me empathise in a way I needed to let my guard down for a bit. It feels welcome and safe to speak your mind. And often it turns out that we have a lot in common although having different stories. A unique and great initiative I’m proud to be a part of!”
Dad of twins, Leon and Blue Sky

We also have monthly online groups, one for those with surviving twins or triplets and one for those who have experienced the loss of all of their babies where both mums and dads are welcome to attend together or individually.

Next Dad’s group is Thurs 17th September 7.30-8.45 pm (UK time). Please email for meeting link. support@footprintsbabyloss.org

Following groups are Thurs 17th September and Mon 19th October 2026.

dads blogs & resources

You can find some personal experiences from some of our dads in our personal stories section.

Phil’s story “As a Dad, I feel a lot of the support options available are geared primarily towards the mum, rather than the partner. I have found it a huge help to connect with other dads via WhatsApp, or via regular online Dad-specific meetings.”

Owen’s story “It helped us hearing about other families, fathers who understood that heartache of hearing the word twins or the difficulty with the approach to anniversaries or birthdays.”

Tim’s poem For Rory and Daniel

We also have some poem and other graphics shared below specifically for our dads.

Richard Boyd, dad of stillborn twins Nathan and Lincoln, and four rainbow children talks about his personal experience.

He shares some thoughts about grief and things that might be helpful for others who experience twin or triplet loss.

Richard explains that peer to peer support, and particularly befriending, have been so helpful for himself in the years that followed the death of his twin sons and also even now.
